Otep is Unique ??

On a online webshop page a saw something strange.
If you searched for a band they put some bands name that similar for that, and you migth be like it.
Of course i searched for Otep and they said Rammstein and The Birthday Massacre are the same as Otep.
I said WTF no way those bands are alike.
Than i start to think and i can't come up with an other band that can be a little similar to Otep.
So anyone knows a band like Otep ?

Actually, Rammstein is a pretty unique band & Mary Magdalan is as well - but of course this means they are unlike any other as well. *grin*

But to answer the original question - No I've never come across a band remotely like Otep -

They are truly unique, and in my estimation the greatest band in the world. *grin*

Of course any band is unique if it not it's a lame band i think.
That's an other question that two or more band's music are similar
becasue they play the same style of music. If a band is unique that
doesn't matter because you can recognize their music from a 3 sec sample
and they can put something more into that music style that makes it unique.
And from that plus you can tell you like it or not.

I'm actually just wondering is their an other band with music like OT3P
becase I don't think so and they became my faverite band in that sec when I heard them first, but i can't know that for sure I don't know all bands on the world :)

And thanks for damian gonzales Mary Magdalan's music is really a little similar to Otep's music

Naw not really, which is definately a good thing. It's good that they don't sound like other people because that means they're unique but when you shop online or on Itunes or whatever it will say, Bands Similar to Otep Are: Arch Enemy(they're nothing like Otep but they're good), Lacuna Coil(nope not like Otep and they're not that great.)

Some people say Evanescence, which is a good band but they're not like Otep

That's the point. You looking for something like any band, and they telling you this and that bands are you looking for, but absolutely not.

I think Mary Magdalan is the closest Otep could come to but still nowhere near Otep.

some of their songs reminded my mother of metallica... how she made that connection is beyond me...
