So the other day i came across a video on youtube talking about two girls that had kissed (more of a peck) at a baseball game, and some lady complained about it. The two girls ended up being kicked out of the baseball stadium.
I think I should begin this by stating that I concur that the issue the discrimination in this situation is completely inappropriate. What of those instances where heterosexual couples are found in the crowd and displayed on the monitors and are asked to give one another a peck for all to see (I'm specifically referencing the scene in How to Lose a Guy in 10 days).
I think the bigger issue in this situation is not the argument over whether or not PDA's are appropriate, where they can be displayed and by whom, and how much.
My first thought went to the players. We take our children to see these professional athletes who are paid absurd amounts of money to play a game. And really, why are they paid this much? Because They bring in money. If a team is winning more people attend games. More people watch on tv. The team's success determines how much the team can charge for advertising on the premises. This dictates how much a network can charge for advertising airtime. Teams can charge crazy amounts of money for merchandise with the teams logo. It's a vicious cycle of greed.
If the above wasn't bad enough lets take a direct look at the players. Everyone likes to sweep the steroid use under the rug. Someone comes out every once and a while and shines a light under the bed, but at some point it just goes out because people just don't care. They want to be entertained. They want to believe that the players are all well behaved, but they're not. A friend of mine brings up the issue how we so often see fights break out on the field. Someone gets mad at an umpire, gets up in his face, throws a bit of a fit and before you know it the entire bench just jumps up, storms the field and suddenly there is a big brawl right then and there. You can't tell me that's not a symptom of the overwhelming use of steroids in this sport.
So I ask you. Who will have a bigger impact on those children: Two woman engaging in a casual PDA, The Greedy, drug abusing, players who engage in violent behavior, OR the MOM herself for subjecting the children to an overwhelming collection of negative stimulus and harbors such blatantly negative judgemental thoughts and is so oblivious to the fact that she is wrong.
Now, I'm not saying that people should stop going to games and that people should boycott them. What I am saying is, let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
Ohh I think I ran into the same thing maybe. Yeah, you shouldn't do that (kick them out). It's fucking sick, but why would you kiss at a baseball game. Is that horny? No, I think they should be allowed to be there after that wtf? But a man and a woman aren't allowed to do everything either. I don't think you have to put it like that.

i think its stupid.... people are put here to chose there own path in life.... where not put here to judge others, its not our jobs..so no matter what path we take in life, we should be free of judgement to do so....
i respect all people.
i respect if they are same sex attracted
i respect that she doesnt like it
but what happened was unequal.
inequality cannot be resolved until everyone is equal- equal in belief, equal in morality. which is unattainable i must say.
but i guess tolerance is what we need, whether we like it or not there are gonna be same sex attracted people in this world and i say to the lady who complained.."hey woman, you do not own the stadium" :D
I think they should've told the lady if she didn't want to see it don't look. Its not like she would of complained if it was a hetrosexual couple kissing. Im bisexual and all i get is your wierd oh your one of those like im a disease or something. Yes I have a boyfriend and a girlfriend and there both agreed relationships but ppl get pissed at me saying im cheating and like im evil and need to die or something. People need to get over ppl being bi,gay,or lesbian b/c its been around for a long ass time and there just acting like it just came like after the 90's. We should have rights and not be discriminated against and that should be that. Itd be like if she got pissed at a hetrosexual couple and got them kicked out. Honestly how many ppl would be pissed about that but they just agree if she gets 2 girls kicked out for kissing. It's stupid get over it.

I think these girls would have suspect that some persons do not understand that!! Thay had to wait to be alone or with persons they know.... not at a baseball game! it's the same for a couple of hétéro! We don't have to kiss each other in front of everybody... true that complait was extreme but the world is just like that, everybody doesn't approve
well...the lady had all the right to do what she did.
after all, kids are kids and they are not supposed to see or watch anything untill theyre at the age of understanding it.
u cnt let ur child watch porn and say oh WELL he'll probably see it one day so why not now?
or maybe the mom is religious or something.
That is really stupid. If 2 chicks are kissing, leave them alone. I bet that the guy was jealous because he couldn't get any action, lol. People can kiss who they want and shouldn't be kicked out for that.
Why deny people the happyness of being together? So what if 'Mary' loves 'Susan' or 'Bob' loves 'Daniel', there are far more important things to be worrying about. Same sex attracted people should have exactly the same rights as everybody else, and if they make each other happy what the fuck buisness is it of yours to deny them that?
I'm not gay but I love going out with my bi-sexual friend and just fucking with people.
We'll go up to the most uptight, bigoted, self obsessed people we can find and start making out in front of them. (I wouldn't try this everywhere, but around where I live the majority of people are fairly open minded and accepting).
That old bitch just probably needs a good dicking (or licking!!!).
On another point, it's great to see that everyone here is on the same (right) page.
