Tell me about your otep encounters...

I have had many ecounters with the wonderful members of Otep. Some of which being phsyical and some not so much, lol. What I mean by this is, i've met them, got some autographs, had some interesting conversations, Otep answered my question in revolver magazine, i'm in perfectly flawed's video, i'm in their confrontation folder(myspace), some other folders on myspace(which i'm sure many people are).. etc.

And I know that I am not the only one with these special encounters, so I would love to hear other people talk about their magical moment with Otep. NOW PEOPLE, I mean with Otep herself, or the band. soo lemmie know :D

New Orleans '06 ... flew in for an amazing show. I had used a piece of her poetry on my wedding invitation and wanted to make sure she had it - J gave it to her before the show. It was special to me that she have it so she knew how much her words meant to me and my life.
Later that night we're sitting on Bourbon street and here she comes. She makes a B-line to us and just gives me this great bear hug. I started to introduce myself and she said she already knew me.
We chatted, and I left feeling like this person that I look up so so much actually cares, and that's an amazing feeling.

Last year there was this insane show in San Antonio we drove down too. We had a few words, experienced some "curbside philiosophy", and talked politics. Or, rather, joked politics.

The entire band are amazing, good people. I've had a handful of beautiful experiences that have changed my life and I'm so thankful.; ▶ Reply to This

Permalink Reply by Pale_Iris on September 4, 2008 at 9:25pm: i met her in columbia, Sc on april 23, 2007 and i met her by the buses she signed my sevas tra lyrics book and i gave her something very special, and we talked and she hugged me we talked more hugged again and then her like (manager/friend/someone..not sure he was really tall though) hugged me and told me thaat i was amazing for being so strong and then a group ha formed around us and she spoke to the group about books, politics, antonin artaud and roles of females, and then her (manager/freind/really tall guy) found me again and told me that the rest of the band was around if i wanted them to sign the lyrics book and so i went around and got everyone to sign and i got hugs form evil j (he was huge i came up to his elbows!) and then they went in.
