In Due Season:

Life is so more than what we perceive
everchanging passions
the surroundings we breathe
sometimes we get lost in those eyes
that sparkle in the mist
recognition of the days we miss
greet them with a kiss
sometimes we get lost in ourselves
we hold so dear
unfruitful wealth
yet i am conceived in these clouds
a world awaits me
beyond the shrouds of abandonment
conviction sets in
so many battles to win
will we fade with unwritten clause?
or die soldiers for the cause
oh, how i strive
to make amends
to reconcile this flesh
and gather all broken fragments
of times my soul neglects.

this is part of an unfinished song i started writing. its about the war going on in Iraq and how the government is pretending to be the ones fighting. it doesnt have a name yet but here goes...

Yes you're absolutely right. In fact, it's not only the view of someone who's not American but along the lines is also the view of an American too. So basically my goal was to make the point-of-views go back and forth.

Thalia, i am probably wrong but the "attract the hate of seven nations" and the "so long as it is them and not us" sounds kind of like its about the USA from the view of some one who is not American?
