Use what I say from here on out
As a guideline for what not to do,
Do not repeat my actions, the actions of a loser
Please do not become like me, as I do not want to be as you.
Use my mistakes as your path way in life
For relationships I have always been the last to come in,
I am a bastard child, a problematic disease
And the first one to sin.
Use my examples to say
"Jay is an idiot, and I do not want to end up that way",
Because you'll lose yourself, your loved ones
And your sanity piece by piece every minute of everyday.
Use pens and paper to become more than what you are
Because it's more to me than poetry, more thank what you will ever think,
I have to write to save my life these days
To save my tears beyond the blood and ink.
Use my face to see past a smile
Because appearances are mere diversions of what hides beneath the face,
Swallow your pride to become better than what I have become
And perhaps it will not be so bitter to taste.
Use the past as an excuse because you cannot cope
And lash out into the mirror's reflection,
Ask yourself inside that glass is it really you?
And does that singular being have a direction?
Use what I have said as guideline
And do not become what is me,
I am a poet and nothing but that
My mistakes have become a constant memory.
