- About Me:
- I am a film maker and sound technician. I have produced three music videos and a documentary short prior to The Gits, my first feature length documentary. The Gits tells the story about the gifted and revolutionary artist Mia Zapata and the extent to which her violent death continues to reverberate throughout the alternative music community. I believed that Mia's story had something raw and fundamental to say about the time and place of her death. Told through the voices of those closest to her, Mia's story succeeds in eliciting very personal responses from the audience, as well as empathy and a desire to take action to prevent violence against women. For me, The Gits and other films in the planning stages have the power to bring people together, to heal and to seek solutions. Shortly after graduating from Indiana University where I majored in Film Studies, I moved to Hollywood and quickly found work as a sound technician. My credits include: The Prestige, Anchorman, Red Eye, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, House MD, Monk and Six Feet Under. I am also a musician with a life-long love of music; I play alto sax.

U ROCK BABY!!!!Haha, Halifax is great as long as the dinero's rolling , shallow mainstream usually but many diamonds in the rough...I'm planning to visit soon, i have friends working there.
I'm into many documentaries (long with rocumentaries) so i can know about the human achievements and abuses on Earth , i'm thinking about creating some Activist shit for youtube , maybe like a demonstration of the glass ceiling using Barbie's and Ken's , with all the Barbies partying old-boy style atop a tower of success with poor role-reversal Ken finally snapping and bashing his head through "the glass ceiling",with all the ladies laughing "Silly boy! Enjoy your place!"....Awareness is a weapon, my friend:)....I'm glad we talked, could you tell me where i might find a copy of your Gits Flick ? I'd be so stoked , i've heard men's estrogen levels increase in the presence of females (vice versa for you all) , and i'd love that whole Ed Sullivan screaming femmefan experience LOL.....HAHAHA,hope you dug that....
